The Boothnatha Temple , Badami Caves

The Boothnatha Temple at Badami, Bagalkot District of Karnataka.
(Built by Chalukya Kings around 6th Century. Now the temple is with ASI )
ASI has restored it to its original beauty. It was almost a stone by stone re-assembly of the temple structure by ASI. The basic stones are of Sandstones. A grass lawn besides this temple has been laid and Temple is itself at the back ground of the greenish lake.
Many non-Indians too visit this place. Other near by places are Pattadkal and Aihole where you can find similar temples.
From the back ground hills, water collected during rains will flow into the lake. Special arrangements still exists to collect the water from hill while it rains.
(Special Thanks to Dr. Sandhya and Mr. Prasanna of Hubli.)
